Bookbinding is the age-old craft of gathering data within a physical artefact in it's most efficient form: by creating a maximised surface area on the pages relatively to it's
outer shell - the cover.
Full Leather Binding
2023
During my apprenticeship with Hannah Brown in the UK in 2023, I made my first full leather binding. Skills such as creating endbands, embroidery, onlays, edge decoration, sewing on tapes, ploughing and leather paring were all incorporated in this creation process.
The design was inspired by my walks around Glastonbury Tor.

Cartonnage
2020
The way I see
cartonnage is that it's using papers and cardboards for other objects than books, such as envelopes, cardholders or any other funky object you can imagine.
During my internship at printing office
Albe de Coker,
I experimented and played a lot to create a bunch of cartonnage items.
